Fr. Jacob and his mother, Terri Straub along with Deacon Mike and his wife Sue Keller attended the 2016 Seminary Ball held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, in Covington, Friday, Nov. 4.The Most Rev. Roger J. Foys, D.D., Bishop of Covington, introduced our current seminarians: Michael Elmlinger, David Finke, Joseph Finke, Jordan Hainsey, Conor Kunath, Zacharias Schoen and Benjamin Schulte, (attending Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio; Deacon Benton Clift, Deacon Britton Hennessey Deacon Ross Kelsch, Alex Deters, Alexander Gedney, Michael Grady and Joseph Rielage, attending St. Vincent Seminary of Latrobe, Penn; and Scott Zelensky, Pastoral Year of Covington. Bishop Foys asked all to pray for these gentleman and to especially pray for much needed future vocations. The estimated cost for each seminarian, each year, education and living expenses is approximately $43,000. Bishop Foys thanked each parish for supporting this much needed program.


On Friday, May 13th, on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, eighty-one individuals made their Total Consecration to Mary after 33 days of preparation using the 33 Days to Morning Glory book by Fr. Michael Gaitley.  During the consecration Fr. Allan Frederick, along with Deacon Michael Keller enrolled parishioners to the scapular. St. John’s is the 12th parish consecration organized by 1heart2souls Ministries, a prolife nonprofit organization dedicated to the spiritual formation of the family.
